In an initial desire to develop a website in a blog format, Airgates was developed. The website was initially a collaboration between myself (content editor) and Jack Gordon, former editor of Tramways Monthly, who was responsible for coding.
The website was set up with the aim to promote UK theme parks, with a specific target audience; rollercoaster and theme park ‘enthusiasts’. Since its launch in 2011, the site has impressed several industry professionals, with Airgates being a recognised news source for all things thrilling and adrenaline pumping. As the team expanded and I entered into my first paid roles within the industry, this resulted in me taking a less prominent role within the website team – however still allocated time to represent the website at press events and on social networks.
As of 2015, Adam is marketing and PR collaborator for Airgates Attraction News, with a team of four content writers and two editors.
